These terms are an agreement between you and Pickaxe ("we") governing the Yello macOS application, website, and related services. By downloading, buying, or using Yello, you agree to them.
License
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Yello for personal or internal business purposes on the number of devices allowed by your purchase. You may not resell, sublicense, rent, reverse engineer except where law permits, bypass license controls, or use Yello to violate another person's rights.
Your accounts, keys, and costs
Some features require an API key from OpenAI or Anthropic. You are responsible for securing that key, complying with the provider's terms, and paying any provider charges. We do not control provider availability, pricing, rate limits, output, or data practices. Never share a key you are not authorized to use.
Your content and responsible use
You keep your rights in the audio, text, screenshots, and other content you process. You represent that you have permission to process and transmit it. Do not use Yello for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, infringing, privacy-invasive, or security-abusive activity. Screen content can contain confidential or third-party information; review it before invoking a screen answer.
AI output
Transcriptions and AI-generated output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate. Review output before sending or relying on it, especially for legal, medical, financial, employment, safety, or other high-impact decisions. Yello is a writing tool, not professional advice.
Purchases, trials, and refunds
Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record and processes purchases, taxes, receipts, and refunds. Unless the checkout states otherwise, a purchase includes a personal two-device license, a seven-day Pro trial may be available, and refund requests may be made within 14 days of purchase by emailing support. Mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction still apply.
Updates and availability
We may change, update, suspend, or discontinue features. Internet-dependent features may fail because of providers or networks outside our control. A perpetual purchase licenses the version obtained and compatible maintenance releases we choose to provide; it does not promise every future paid product or service.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yello is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, error-free output, or compatibility with every app or future macOS release.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or third-party claims arising from Yello. Our total liability for claims relating to Yello will not exceed the amount you paid for Yello in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Termination and changes
You may stop using Yello at any time. We may terminate access for a material breach of these terms. Provisions that logically survive termination will do so. We may update these terms and will revise the effective date; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
